In the beginning, there was fire.
A slender beam of light pierced through the matter and lifted the veil from my eyes. Energy is waiting to happen, but a void rises against itself. I, alone, now see the ultimate meaning of things and the dance of life vibrating around me.
A solemn block is made up of natural bark on its front and two sides. From the travertine quarries in Ascoli, the outer layer of ancient fronts bears witness to the effects of external agents and calcareous sedimentations, forging an unparalleled profile. This profile undergoes a process of tempering, harmonization, and fading through our craftsmanship, until it becomes a representation of the passing of time.
In the beginning, there was water.
The water flows patiently and impetuously, before surging and coursing to the far reaches of my body. It embodies genius and talent, flowing into the vast sea of my creative impulses.
Both the countertop and sink are made from slabs carved from the same primordial block. The drain and overflow are both concealed yet easily inspectable, thanks to the removable drip tray. The unique material’s ancient charm complements a one-of-a-kind design project. The material is unique in itself.
In the beginning, there was wind.
An ancient language of the sky and earth. The hidden combinations of the Universe run through its untranslatable words. Much like a child, I collect the blends as if they were seashells, to hear their intimate melody. I have an instinct for creation within me that helps me turn the combinations into tangible reality.
An automated sliding countertop reveals the induction hob and the built-in hood, integrated along the surface of the counter. It can be operated through an app, keypad, or remote control. The system comprises motorized steel guides covered with travertine box sections and an aluminium honeycomb. The riser rails, which can be operated as desired, are made of thermotreated oak wood, like every other installed wooden section, while the heads are covered with travertine. The kitchen island boasts unprecedented functionality through an array of features, including LED lighting, a scale, a dishwasher, and wireless charging and power outlets.
In the beginning, there was earth.
An entire existence that was filled with joy. Mother Nature welcomes me, and I embrace the guidance of her oldest children: the endurance of stone and the ingenuous grace of wood. Their secret lies in her timing. The essence of the elements within her spirit is revealed through the movement of my fingers and the decisive strike of the chisel.
The rear columns’ volume, treated with spatulated resin on the surface, opens via double-recessed door systems. It flaunts a wealth of features, all housed within a thermotreated oak casing, which includes an oven, LED lighting, power outlets, glass holders, drawers, and chest drawers. Finally, the freezer fridge is located in the right column and can be opened with a push-button electronic system. All the disruptive elements are now blending in perfect harmony, thanks to the work of our hands.
In the beginning was the Word, engraved in stone. Origin and end. Beyond the wrinkles in time. Beyond its transformations. An eternal moment in time, forever captured in a design marvel.
